Dr Simphiwe Hazel Msimango attained her undergraduate medical degree (MBChB) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. After this, between 2009 and 2010, Dr Msimango completed her internship training at Stanger Hospital.

Thereafter, in 2011, Dr Msimango completed her community service at the Kimberly Complex Hospital, where she worked in the Paediatrics department for six months. In addition, in 2012, Dr Msimango received her Diploma in Child Health while appointed as a Medical Officer in the Paediatrics department at Addington Hospital.

In 2016, Dr Msimango obtained her Fellowship in Paediatrics from the College of Paediatricians of South Africa and, prior to this, in 2013, specialised in the UKZN Paediatrics Department. In 2020, she received her Master’s in Medicine (MMED) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

Prior to joining Life Kingsbury Hospital in Claremont, Cape Town, Dr Msimango was hired as a Clinical Advisor for the HIV/TB NPO. Her special interests include allergology and the treatment of infectious diseases.
